So You Want To Receive Blessings?

“The dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.” -Isaiah 58:8

We live in a time and day where people misquote God’s word, frequently. Such as the verse above. I happen to love this verse. Look at all of its benefits with me.

Our “dawn” Meaning breakthrough, promises fulfilled, and new beginnings are ours.

Our “healings” meaning body, mind, and spirit. Whatever the illness, we will quickly be healed.

Our “righteousness” Meaning our integrity, honorable living, and character will be seen.

“His glory” meaning will protect us from what’s coming; He will have our back. “He will hear” meaning God will grant us our petition. Our prayers will be answered; we will have the very ear of God, and cause Him to move on our behalf.

What a great package of benefits! Everyone wants this. There’s nobody on planet Earth that doesn’t desire these great benefits. However, there are conditions with this package. You can look at it this way. You want a certain job? You must work for that company and follow their rulers, regulations, and policies. This passage is just like that. So, in order to receive those blessings there’s something required.

Let’s look at what you must do to get these blessings:

  1. Get rid of that yoke.

  2. Don’t point your finger and say wicked things.

  3. Give some of your own food to feed those who are hungry

  4. Satisfy the needs of those who are humble

  5. Get rid of wickedness

  6. Take the homeless into your house and feed them.

  7. Give clothes to those who need them.

  8. Don’t refuse to help your relatives.

  9. Honor the Lord's day.

  10. Don’t trample the Lord’s day.

  11. Call the Lord’s day a delight.

  12. Call the Lord’s day honorable.

  13. Honor it by not going your own way.

  14. Don’t speak idly.

If you do those things, “Then you will find joy in the Lord. I will make you ride on the heights of the earth. I will feed you with the inheritance of your ancestor Jacob. The Lord has spoken.”

These days all we see are posts teaching wrong theology. Everything is about money hitting your bank accounts, having prosperity, and favor of God. What’s left out of the equation is how to live a life that will touch the heart of God. In other words, in order for God to shine his favor on you, and bless you. You must do what Isaiah 58 requires.

As the Chief Executive Officer, I will never consider hiring anyone to work for any of the companies I represent if they refuse to comply with our companies policies. So, it is with God. The offer is yours. Take it or leave it. This is right theology to understand. The righteous walk from miracle to miracle. The bank accounts, favor, and supernatural and unexplained phenomena happens in those who live a life as described in this chapter. Let’s prophecy God’s Word, not man’s heresy.
