“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee." - Luke 1:26
This verse hit me last night. I love when the Holy Spirit gives us a golden nugget. This was it for me. Let me share it with you. I pray it becomes your golden nugget, too.
So what’s so special about this verse? Let me explain. This same angel, Gabriel was sent to Daniel, too. You know when? Approximately, 500 years earlier! Gabriel was sent by God to make yet another proclamation to Daniel concerning the birth of Jesus. In that visit, Gabriel gave Daniel the exact time Jesus would come. He reveled to Daniel future events. Like 500 years earlier. Nothing is without purpose with God. Nothing!
I felt God reminding me that many times He sends His Word to us concerning future events. Most of the time revelations about us and future life events. He sends the word. We get excited. Then we wait, and we wait. Nothing happens. We begin to doubt, and start to feel down about it. Worse, some forget the word spoken altogether. We loose hope and faith. We loose the promise. Please, don’t allow anything or anyone to steal the promises of God from your life. 500 years since Daniel revelation by Gabriel, the people waited.
God always sends His word as we see In the lives of these people. God choose the Angel Gabriel to bring the word to, Daniel, Zacharias, and Mary. There was a plan in action. Daniel was given that plan. However, there was a timing for it to take place. In this case, it took about 500 years, nowhere near Daniel’s life time. However, God brought about the word. So shall He do with you, and you will see it.
Here lies a pure golden nugget truth. God has a timetable for all our lives. God’s promises are just like this. Suddenly and they happen. Suddenly, the Angel was sent. “Go, Gabriel bring forth my plan.” Suddenly, the Angel appeared to Mary. Suddenly, the promise was at hand. Suddenly, Daniel was made aware. Suddenly, Elizabeth conceived. Suddenly, Mary brought forth the Savior, Jesus Christ. When God says, "Go," everything changes. The word becomes life. The promise has come. I love God’s suddenlies. (I know no such word, my made up word). I’m keeping it.
It was time for the Messiah, the Christ to be born. The promise of a savior, redeemer, and reconciler was now at hand. Gabriel, who originally, brought the word concerning Jesus to Daniel, was being sent out again. This time to Mary. A young woman devoted to God who would bring forth the promise.
The time had come.
You see, it’s like that for us, too. God gives us a word, and our job is to wait for the word spoken to come to pass. This means timing. Timing is everything. There’s a perfect time for everything.
The time for the perfect time!
I feel like God is saying today. Take hold of the word I gave you. Hold to it tightly. Do not let go of the promises. Keep the flame burning, believe Me, trust Me, and be lead of Me.
The time is coming!
Gabriel not only went to Daniel to announce the birth of the Messiah, but he also went to Zacharias, too. To announce the birth of Jesus’ cousin, John. John was only about 6 months older then Jesus. “In the sixth month...” The time is now at hand.
“Your time is coming, too.” This is what God is saying today. God is all about timing. He holds the times of our lives in His hand.
Your time has come.
I see a lot of announcements and preparations before the birth of Christ. The timetable was from 500 years earlier to 6 months before Jesus’ birth. You see what I see? Sometimes there’s a long time to wait for the promises of God because important things need to be put into place, but they will surely come to pass.
The time is now.
