A Reminder: BE THE RIGHT KIND OF TREE

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.” -Psalms 1: 1-3

Just a few days ago, on Saturday, November 10, 2018, I went on a ride just to pray without being disturbed. God showed me things on that ride. I was in shock. I called my Executive Director and told her, “Linda, God just played before my mind a behind the scenes situation. God brought to my mind Gideon, when he heard what was being said about him. God brought to my mind what happened to those who tried to destroy him.” I told her what God told me would and would not happen and how to act when it did, reminding me very clearly not to walk the path of evil and not to repay evil with evil.

Even if God showed me what took place and was about to take place, I was still thinking this cannot possibly be. Well, three days later what God showed me would happen happened. I was laughing when it happened. I was laughing at the evil. You see, evil wants to evoke evil, but this passage is clear. “Do not walk in steps of the wicked!” It’s not a suggestion as I always say. It a command. Don’t stand in their way, let them try. Do you know who God is?

Let’s concentrate on the positive. Let me encourage you on what you should do. Delight yourself in the law of God. You must be doing so day and night. When you do this, God will show you what is going on and most importantly, how to act in the trials of life. You see the promise here clearly that you will be strong in Him, your life will always bring forth good fruit in season. You're not going to die spiritually, and no trial can bring you down.

Yesterday on Tuesday, November 13, I found out what He showed me and told me Saturday, came to pass. I headed for the supermarket before going home after leaving my office in shock. I asked God to give me a sign that He was with me, and I sat in the parking lot at the supermarket for a few seconds to pray before going in for my groceries. I’m going to share my prayer with you.

I prayed, “Lord, I can’t believe what’s happening right now. I know you showed me this and I know what you told me about it. But, God, how do I really know everything is going to be ok? Please God will you bless these organizations I am leading.?” I felt to check my emails before going inside the supermarket and this email was waiting in my inbox.

LDW was awarded a grant for $100 thousand dollars. I notified my board last night to tell them the good news. I was thanking God for this grant. I then said, “God, I’m grateful. But, can you show me you have blessed Thread of Hope, too?” I went home, and I received two phone calls late last night. Out of the blue, two donations for Thread of Hope.

What surprised me is the amount that was given. The people who made those donations are on my Facebook friends list, and so is my board from both organizations. They have already received the emails. Thread of Hope paid the full tuition for one full year of 75 students who are orphans to receive good education: to be exact 30 elementary school students, 10 secondary students, and 15 university students. Can you believe the two donations that came in was the exact amount, I paid for those students on behalf of Thread of Hope?

Why is this so significant? Because I also received a very disturbing message just one hour before all this money came pouring to LDW and TOH. I prayed specifically for God show me His glory, power, and might. Show me you are with me as I lead these organizations, and I want You to show me by blessing the organizations. Immediately. He told me "Go read your emails." Miracle number one. I was beyond ecstatic, but I wanted God to show me He was leading me at Thread of Hope and blessing us there. God came in big time. There was another message for me to go to someone’s house to pick up another donation for I don’t even know for how much.

Listen please. Reread the above passage and do it. It’s true, people are people and people will say all evil against you. It doesn’t matter. Are you a people pleaser or a God pleaser? Be deliberate in your walk with Him. Do NOT ever excuse or allow wickedness to enter your gates. I promise you, you will be mocked, lied about, and all sorts of evil told about you. Let them. Walk away. Don’t get in the mud with the pigs. Give them what they want. It’s not done unto you. It's done unto God. You think God will not defend Himself or you? Keep your mouth shut. Keep clean hands, and watch God’s blessings.

Let me say it again, You can’t miss the hand of God on His people. Their lives are alive with His blessings. The work they do is of good and honorable. They flourish in the middle of the desert in the dry and weary land. They still produce good fruit, in season. Did you catch that? If God brought you to something He is going to bless you in it. The season represents the blessings. It was the season at Thread of Hope to flourish. We took the fruits and blessed 75 students by paying for their tuition in full for their entire year. God was pleased and gave Thread of Hope the exact amount back! Can any man stop the hand of God from the godly? Is anyone here afraid to go against God’s anointed?

Be the kind of person that brings blessings in another persons lives. Do not excuse, hide, or conceal sin. Stand up for what’s right, leaders are not manipulated by people. Real leaders step aside and say, “Go ahead go to what you must do.” Jesus said that to Judas. Where did that get Judas?

I am encouraging you to get a brand new attitude. Don’t. be concerned by what people say. You should only care what God has to say. And by the way, God does much better defending you then you could yourself. You see how God answered me so quickly? He wants to do the same for you. Make sure your the “right kind of tree.”

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Guide. Every good thing is from You, and everything I have has been given to me by You. Thank You for being the One Who Provides for me. You, O God, are the One who trains my hand for battle. Father, You have equipped me with all I need to live for You. Father, give me discernment to know when to act and when to speak. Help me to always remember to keep my hands clean, and give me the wisdom to make wise decisions that I may choose what is holy and pleasing to You. Because I know You are my Shield and my Defense, I leave all my circumstances in Your hands knowing Your ways are perfect and all Your ways are just. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
