Very often we teach a very selfish theology, making God out to be like Santa Claus, believing we should get everything. God does provide for His children. He also allows trials in our lives so we can grow more in Him. Be

Be careful to put on the spirit of discernment. I rarely take advice from those people who believe everything is perfect, wonderful, and blessed because they think they do everything right. God allows it to rain on the JUST and the unjust.

Our faith gets tested, and I have found God to reveal Himself to be much more real in trials more than when all is going well. Allow God to break you and mold you for His glory and honor. He gives good things to those who truly seek Him.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are God. There is no one like You, and no one compares to You. I'm sorry for the times I have taken advantage of Your mercy and grace and for the times I have looked to You as if You were Santa Claus. Forgive me, and help me to remember always that You are Lord. I'm thankful for the times You haven't given me what I want, and I thank You for the trials in my life where You have revealed to me more and more about Who You are. Continue to do Your work in my life and to lead me by Your Holy Spirit that I might live in the plans You have for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
