Call Forth Your Miracle

"Then Jesus said to the centurion, 'Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.' And his servant was healed at that moment."

-Matthew 8:13

The last couple of days I have been thinking about healings. I have particularly been focusing on why healings don’t happen as often as they should in a believer’s life? I came into this chapter just now. In Mathew Chapter 8, it’s all about Jesus going throughout healing all the people. Everyone that came to him in this chapter was healed.

There was another place though where healings didn’t happen. If any healings should have come forth, this would have being the place. His own home town. “And so they rejected him. Jesus said to them, "A prophet is respected everywhere except in his hometown and by his own family," (Mathew 13:57).

What a contrast from the rest of the other places. People were receiving their healings everywhere. The blind, mute, deaf, paralytics, fevers, and demon possessed all were healed, including and not limited to the dead coming alive again except in His home town.

I see healing is very important in the life of a believer. The Centurion in this story makes such a remarkable statement. “I know you only have to send out your word.” You see, the Centurion knew in his heart WHO Jesus was, and what He was capable of doing. Jesus asked him a question, “Do you want me to go with you?” The Centurion says, “No, I know who you are just give the word.” Jesus was touched by this man’s response. “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” The Centurion didn’t need signs and wonders, didn’t need to beg Jesus, and didn’t need him to go lay His hands on his servant to recover. He just took Jesus at His word. And in that split second his servant was healed. I can’t help myself to jump in my spirit for joy.

On the other hand, in His home town, nothing happened. This would be the reason why, “And so they rejected him.” Do you see what I see? One word, “rejected!” The people in His home town, who should have know better, refused Him. Can you even believe that?

Those people received no miracles, no healings, and no victories because they shunned the Living God. He was dismissed from performing any miracles there. It was not their lack of faith. Let me be very clear. Those whom He raised from the dead had no lack of anything. They were dead. The Centurion spoke on behalf of his servant. So it’s not about your faith level. It’s all about WHO you believe Jesus is in your life, and it’s all about accepting His privileges being His child. Do you know there are privileges being a child of the Living God? Do you understand Jesus holds our healings? He took care of all that on the cross.

This morning, I received a text message at around 6 AM. “Please pray, I’m at the Emergency Room with my son.” I started praying immediately, it was like God was showing me something through His Spirit. I could sense God was doing a greater thing in me and what I understood about healings. Immediately, God showed me the child was going to be fine. Nothing was wrong with him. I felt God say, “I’m with this child, (even called him by name) there’s nothing wrong with him. Tell his mother. I asked God, “Please, is this me and my emotions speaking?” God, told me again, “Go tell the mother her son is fine.” I did, I sent a text message and told her exactly what God had shown me.

A few hours back, I received a text message, “We are now home. There’s nothing wrong with him.” I was rejoicing because I knew what God had just done. You see, she could have “rejected” what God showed me. She could have said, “What do you know? Didn’t I just tell you the serious symptoms he has? What do you mean, “There’s nothing wrong with him?” Instead, her text message came back immediately, “Amen! Thank You, God.”

I want to be very serious now. Could it be we don’t receive healings, and miracles because we have rejected in the spirit our healings? Could it be we have dismissed all that God can do? Is it because we are ignoring important truths about healings? Is it because we refuse to accept God wants to heal our every pain? The people in Jesus town weren’t faithless. They despised Him -His ways, His love, His compassion, His miracles, and the power to receive their healings. That was the problem.

Today, we face the same issues. We know who He is and we know what He can do. However, we reject, dismiss, disregard, ignore, and worse we abandon Him and the truth He has given us and His active, living word in our heart to do great exploits and receive our healings.

Who will you be today? The Centurion, or the people in Jesus’ town? I pray your eyes are open to truth of His unfailing love to heal, restore, set free, and perform the miracles in you life. As for me, I will unashamedly, boldly, and courageously say, “Lord Jesus just remind me of your healing words, send me your Word that has power to heal, and my family and I shall be healed. I receive it now. Amen!"

Remember, “He took our sicknesses upon Him.” Every disease, illness, and infirmity was nailed on that cross. “Jesus took them all.” I am standing with you today, take your rightly stand and receive your healing, in Jesus name. Receive everything you are entitled to receive to live a life of abundance in Jesus name.

Declare victory after victory in your lives. Let’s believe for each other and expect miracles to come forth. Call forth your healing now. It was bought and paid for on a rugged cross over two thousand years ago. Glory to God. Let His glory fall on you today.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are my Victory, and because You are my Victory, You have made me victorious. Overwhelming victory is mine because You have loved me. You are the God who surrounds me. You have made the way in the wilderness for me, and therefore, because I know that You're my God, I know I am made more than a conqueror. You are my God. Father, thank You for going before me. Help me to always remember that no matter what comes my way, nothing is impossible with You and that You are more than able. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
