My Supernatural Encounter in Germany

This is long but worth the read. God never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think nothing can top what He just did, He does another.

Three years ago before the borders between Austria and Germany closed due to the refugee crisis, I was in Europe on a business trip and was traveling from Austria to Germany.

We sat onboard for three hours before we took off. I was praying we would be allowed to leave. I was on a tight schedule and needed to be in Germany. Finally, we took off for Frankfurt, Germany, except, we were rerouted to Munich. I didn’t want to go to Munich. I needed to be in Frankfurt. We had to get off and get on again, dragging luggage and then got back onboard again this time for Frankfurt.

Finally, we made it to Frankfurt. Got to the hotel, and the hotel didn’t meet my standards. I started to call other hotels from the lobby. Do you think I could find anything for that night? I didn’t know there was a huge convention in Frankfurt the same week and every hotel sold out. Finally, Le Meriden said maybe, but they had room for the following night but not that night. I booked it for rest of my stay, but I still didn’t have a room anywhere for that night.

Finally, I found a hotel, and they only had availability for that night. I was so happy. I got to the hotel, checked in, and then sat at the lobby to eat my crackers and cheese. The hotel manager began to tease me about my dinner of cheese and crackers. I told him about my food allergies and we moved on to discussing my work.

A few minutes later, a guy walked in and sat near me. He ordered a cappuccino, and began talking to me. He was listening to the conversation I was having with the hotel manager. He turned around and asked me a question. He said, “You are the CEO of the company so what’s your dream for the company?” Immediately, I gave him three dreams I wanted to accomplish. He then told me who he was and handed me his business card. He asked if I wanted to be introduced to a friend of his at Disney Channel? Immediately, he sent me and that person an introduction email.

Since then, I had opportunities to move forward within the movie industry. I shared here on Facebook, but I still had that hold back feeling. I explored but never committed to my projects. Last week, God brought to my mind that man. I never spoke to him again, never kept in touch. I couldn’t shake him out of my head. I went to look for his email and sent him a message. I thought he would not remember someone he met for a few minutes in a hotel lobby three years ago. To my surprise, he remembered me. We scheduled a phone conference.

We spoke on the phone. I asked him if he remembered the conversation we had? I then proceeded to remind him what we talked about and his great advice to me. I told him I felt God leading me to call him and invite him to sit on our international board advisors. I had no idea what his profession was, and I knew it was very unusual what I was doing. First you ask for a resume, and then, you get to know the person. You just don’t call someone you met at a hotel lobby in another country who lives in another country to join an international board of advisors. I had to tell him I knew that, but I felt for the last few weeks this push to contact him.

He told me that the people we meet are meant to play roles in our lives, and he understood. I had to ask him what he does for work? Well, he is a Vice President for one of the biggest international companies in the world. Everyone knows this company. I was in shock. Further more, he asked if I wanted an introduction to Warner Brothers. I almost fell of my chair! If there had been a camera you would have seen my confused, shocked, and laughing face all wrapped into one. God just blows my mind. Every single time!

In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the Word of God states, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

Today, what stood out in this passage is the last part. “No one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” God clearly pointed out to me not only does He make everything beautiful in His time table. But, I can’t even begin to fathom what God has done before He even created me to His leading and guiding me up to this point with one miracle after another, to His continued predestined, amazing, awesome, and awe inspiring life yet to be fulfilled by me in HIM for Him.

I have mentioned before this passage is not my favorite because I hate to wait for anything. I never understood the rest because I was too busy complaining about the beginning part of this passage. However, God clearly opened my mind for me to comprehend that I can’t fathom in my wildest dreams, hopes, aspirations, and desires the understanding He has set eternity in the human heart. This means He has placed His desires and dreams for us to accomplish and fulfill here on earth which we will be rewarded for someday in Heaven, our eternal destination. Wow, God!

Who could even begin to understand that through a refugee crisis going on in another country that would cause a huge delay in my traveling from one country to the next, going to wrong hotel, no availability in any other hotel, finally finding one for one night only, sitting in a hotel lobby, eating cheese and crackers that captured the eye of the hotel manager, who then asked me what I do for a living, who kept me talking about my work until that man James walked in to hear part of my conversation, who then asked me my dream for the company, and got my email to make an introduction on my behalf. Wild and crazy like everything I share about my life on Facebook. All along on a wild and crazy journey to end up blessing me. It’s not about me really. It’s about what God called me to accomplish for Him. It’s my personal calling. We each have one, but this can only be fulfilled by living right before Him.

That meeting was ordained by God. This is my point. The problem was it wasn’t time for my dream to become a reality. I never spoke to that man again. I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was just a business man. Until, God told me to send him an email and invite him to be on our international board of advisors. Yesterday, he agreed to sit on our board. I can’t “Fathom” everything God has in store but I got a huge clue yesterday.

Can I encourage you to allow the good, the bad, and the ugly in your life to push you into your destiny? Can I further encourage you not to give up and follow the leading of God? Please don’t compromise anything in your life. People will misunderstand you, dislike you, even hate you. It’s ok. Let them. You need to never compromise your character, integrity, and morals. And you owe nobody any explanations. God is watching. God rewards the righteous and those whose hands are clean. That’s all that should be your huge concern.

It’s not easy I understand. Let’s be truthful. Is there anyone that doesn’t want to tell fools off for their evil behaviors? I’m the first to join that line, but vindication isn’t for us to do. God does it. One way He does it is by pouring blessings in your life, blessings that you can’t explain. The hand of God is clearly seen on His children. They might have to wait for “He makes everything beautiful in His time,” but it happens even if I had to wait three years to learn who this James was. God allowed me to meet him but not to know what he did for work. God is now about to move, and He dropped his name in my mind, with an exact order. “Ask him to sit on the international board of advisors.” I did and he said, “Yes!” And then asked me if I wanted an introduction to Warner Bros.” I know God is getting closer to answering my next phase in life to help children who struggle with learning disabilities. I finally got it, not my time but God’s time. I said something shocking to that man yesterday in answer to his question. “Yes, I want the introduction but the timing is off. Give me another year, then I’ll be ready for the introduction.” This was a first for me. I finally understood the real meaning of “He makes everything beautiful in His time.” No one can, “Fathom” what is in store for those who’s hearts are pure before Him.

Beloved Friends, keep yourself constantly in check. Please God and not man. God opens doors no man can open. Wait for His timing. Beautiful is what gets celebrated, praised, and admired. We celebrate the beautiful things in life.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are the God of Perfection. You are trustworthy, and because You, O God, are trustworthy, I know my confidence in You is not misplaced. You are the God of Hope, and therefore, I put my hope in You, knowing You will be faithful to bring forth all that You have purposed for my life. Father, continue to guide my path and to lead me along the road that takes me to the destiny You have had planned for me since the beginning of time. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
