"A child will be born for us. A son will be given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. He will be named: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6
The true reason why we celebrate Christmas is because of Jesus' birth. God sent down His only son as a human to ultimately die on the cross for our sins. He didn't have to, but He chose to because of His love for us. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year when we're reminded of and celebrate one of God's greatest acts of love.
