REMINDER FOR ALL OF US... Good Name for You

"A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth." -Ecclesiastes 7:1 The richest and wisest man on this entire earth left us this wise statement! It is not man that gets this privilege of this statement, but God. You see, man judges according to her/his own understanding. Most importantly, their own walk with their Lord. If the relationship is a solid one then they will see and understand what it means "A good name!" Not everyone will say good about you because they are not good themselves. So, then, what does it mean? God is the only One you should be concerned about having a good name with.
REFLECTION: "The day of death than the day of one's birth." Why? Because it's at death we see the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, Victor, Overcomer, Savior, and Redeemer! He and only He needs to see your good name. People cannot judge this no matter how wonderful they are. They cannot read the heart of man, only God can do that. Live for God. Live to be a holy and righteous before the only One that decides where you will spend eternity. You can choose to have a good name before the holy and righteous God, or man who cannot save you from anything. Choose to have a good name with the Almighty God.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are the One whose approval matters because I stand before You. I am accountable to You. Father, as I walk in Your ways and tend to my character, I trust You to be the One who takes care of my reputation and vindicates me because, Lord, at the end of all things, only Your words and thoughts will matter. No one else's words and thoughts matter. Please continue to be the Light that illuminates my way, and be my Guide on this narrow path. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
