The Union Between God and Man

The Union between God and man is a relationship that should be kept as holy as possible because if we don't problems will come forth and ruin the union. In today's world, the Church (Body of Believers) have almost no regard or respect towards God and His rules because they love the world too much when they are called not to be of the world. In other words, the Church is not to live like the world or love what the world has to offer. The Word of God makes it quite clear in 1 John 2:15-17(NLT) which states, "Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever."

You can choose to make and have a strong bond and your union with the Lord. The key to all of this is complete submission to the Lord and His commands. One thing that you can do to make yourself grow in the Lord is through reading and studying the faithful and strong bonds between man and God throughout the Bible. When you begin to see the depths of the relationship men and women in the Bible have had with God, you will begin to understand and know you can have that kind of union with God. This kind of union and bond with God can only come through obedience to God and His Word. Obedience is key to a strong union between God and yourself because if you don't obey God, the blessings of God will cease to flow and you will open yourself up to attacks that are not from God but from the pit of hell itself. No believer should ever disobey God, even in times of hardship when we want to blame him or even curse him for it. However, remember this: God makes all things good in His time. Your responsibility is simply to obey and love Him with all your might. He will see your obedience grow, and you will see the blessings flow! REFLECTION: The Bible says in Acts 5:29(ESV), "But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men," and in 1 John 5:3 (ESV), "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome." Two Verses with the same meaning obey and love for if we want a holy union between God and us we must obey and love. Loving is something some of us are not good at because we only want to obey certain commandments and love certain people (playing favorites), which is a sin in the eyes of God for we are called to love as Christ loved and as Christ still continues to love us. We are called to obey the Father's laws. These are the keys that we have been given by God so our relationship becomes more holy and grows stronger with him! And if you are lacking in any of these areas, you can pray and God will meet you and help excel in your areas of weakness! PRAYER: Dear Lord, Thank you for this day. Heavenly Father, I ask you to help me to obey and love You and Your commandments. Teach me the ways of love and forgiveness. Forgive me of my sins. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
