It's Your Choice

It's your choice to live your life for God or not.
There is no neutral ground when it comes to living your life for God.
There are those who claim to be believers that have divided hearts which means their loyalty is split between the world and God. If you are going to live for God, then you must live for Him with an undivided heart which is loyal and faithful to God no matter what the cost, taking a stand for God and for His Word.
The reason many who call themselves believers are fighting with the choice to live for God is because we are called to live our lives as godly as we can and to follow the ways of Christ the best we can. To the weak believer, this can be difficult because this world has many temptations, and it is extremely easy to fall. Why do we fall? It all comes down to the choices we make, the Bible says in 1 Kings 18:21 (ESV), "And Elijah came near to all the people and said, 'How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.'" And the people did not answer him a word. This verse describes perfectly the choices we have to make on a day to day basis, for everyday we bounce back and forth between choices. In Elijah's case, he said to the people, "How long will you go limping between two different opinions," because we fight our minds, and we always question our decision making.
REFLECTION: "But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD," (Joshua 24:15NLT). As Believers of the Most High God, we are called to follow God and God alone. Man fails, but God does not! So, again, it's your choice. What is your choice? Will you choose to live a life filled with blessings which comes from living for God wholeheartedly? Or will you choose to live a life faced with sin and death by not living for God and living as the world lives? Be warned: make the correct, good, and God-pleasing choices, or make poor choices and you will be living life recklessly, unsatisfied, and cursed by your own poor choices and actions.
PRAYER: Father in Heaven, I am at Your mercy, O God. Because of your unfailing compassion, I ask that You wipe out the stain of my sins. Cleanse me from my guilt and purify me from my sin. Lord, I know I have rebelled against You, and I have sinned against You alone, having done what is evil in Your sight. What You say is faithful and true, and You, O God, will be righteous and just in what You say about me. Your judgment against me is fair. I can only humble myself, throw myself on Your mercy, and bow my heart before You. Cleanse me from my sins and wash me clean, for then I will made pure. Let me once again drink deeply from the Well of Your Salvation. Father, You have broken me. Please remove the shame and the guilt my sins have caused. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Please don't remove me from Your presence, and please don't remove Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. The sacrifice You desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. Look upon me with favor, and help me, Father, to worship You in spirit and in truth. Restore me as only You can so I can please You by committing myself wholeheartedly to You as a living sacrifice.
