The Cursed Church

The Cursed Church is a very common sight in Christianity today, but why is the church cursed, or is it just some churches? Many churches are cursed. One of many reasons why the church is cursed is because they allow false doctrine, watering down of and sugarcoating the Word of God.
Pastors are called to be shepherds of God's people, and they have been given the responsibility to guard their flock and to know the state of their flock. However, some pastors are so filled with greed, caring only about the numbers, in other words how many people they can get into their congregation instead of caring about the spiritual state of those people. Rather than practicing fairness, some pastors have favorites within the flock they tend to while neglecting the rest of their flock. During times of preaching, these pastors will water down the Word of God using a perverted translation that is filled with evil which inevitably affects their preaching.
The passage below is very clear. Anyone who preaches a different kind of Good News is cursed.
"Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed." -Galatians 1:8-9(NLT)
Sugarcoating the Word of God is a major sin because God has given and inspired the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16) as a life guide on how to live. The Bible says, in 2 Timothy 3:5 (ESV), "Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." This verse acts as a warning on how you as the believer should test each and every person and pastor around you. "Do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world." -1 John 4:1(NLT)
The problem with false doctrine is how the word is preached and presented, for a problem that church's face today is how to present the word and not "offend" anybody, "Blessed is the one who does not fall away on account of Me,” (Matthew 11:6BSB). If the word is altered, then it loses its power, and that is the sad truth we face today.
REFLECTION: "But I have a few things against you, because some of you hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block before the Israelites so they would eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality. In the same way, some of you also hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Therefore repent! Otherwise I will come to you shortly and wage war against them with the sword of My mouth," (Revelation 2:14-16BSB). False doctrine occurs when someone is influenced by an ungodly person or a person that is sinning while putting on a very deceptive act that can fool a weak believer. Those people are called soothsayers, "Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ's death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross," (Galatians 3:1NLT). If your spirit senses danger, run and don't turn back! My warning to you is this pray and ask God to guide your footsteps.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word which is breathed by You. Thank You for giving me an Instruction Manual that tells me how to live a holy life and tells me what Your laws and commands are. Help me to stand upon Your Word and to never compromise Your Word in any way. Father, help to understand and know Your Word so well that I'm able to discern false teaching from that which is true. Your Word, O Lord, is truth. Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
