The Holy Spirit Our Advocate

The Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, would not leave His children alone on the troubled earth without an advocate to fight for us. Who is this Advocate? It is none other than the Holy Spirit. The Bible says in John 14:16(NIV), "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever."
As you can see, in the Gospel of John, this verse shows us that Jesus is asking God to give us an advocate to be with us forever! Our God would not have given this Word to make us feel helpless but rather for us to have help available at all times.
REFLECTION: "The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name," (Exodus 15:3ESV). As believers in Christ, we always need help because there is always a spiritual battle being fought all around us constantly, and we cannot fight the battle alone. As believers in Christ, we need to rise up in faith above these challenges. Some have fallen because they have thought the Advocate had "left" them when in reality He is always here waiting for the children of God to use Him.
God is always ready and willing to fight for us, and the Holy Spirit is also ready. The question is: are you ready to let the Holy Advocate fight for you?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, the battle belongs to You, and I need only to stand my ground, obey You, and let the Holy Spirit be my Advocate, my Intercessor, and my Defense. Thank You for being my Guide and my Strength. Continue to be my Defense as I walk in Your ways and keep my eyes fixed on You as I continue forward without looking back. With Your help, I will continue to rise in faith above the battle that surrounds me and will put my hope and trust in You, knowing You will be my Advocate no matter what comes my way. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
