"Now the appearance of the glory of the LORD was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view of the people." -Exodus 24:17(NET)

As spoken about in a recent article, which can be found at the following link, https://www.threadofhope.org/single-post/2018/08/31/The-Holy-Spirit-Has-Been-Around-Since-the-Beginning-of-Time, the Holy Spirit has been around since the beginning of time, and He dwells within every believer.

Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is a third part of the trinity, the Godhead, and according to John 14:26(ESV), the Scriptures state, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." The Holy Spirit is more than our Helper and Teacher. The Holy Spirit reveals things in our lives which need to be worked on, changed, and shows us what we need to repent of. Through the work and the power of the Holy Spirit, faith is continually growing, ever increasing (Galatians 5:22-23)! The Holy Spirit helps us in prayer as well, and we can see this in Romans 8:26(GW), which states, "At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don’t know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words." This is a blessing given to us by our Heavenly Father.

In Acts 2:3(KJV), we can see the Holy Spirit is also referred to as fire, "And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them." When Christ ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of The Father, the Fire of God came down onto people who were there. The Spirit came naturally. For the believer in Christ, it should be normal for him or her to see the Spirit and His gifts flowing amongst a group of believers. The Spirit who dwells in us should not be forced out of us. Because the Spirit lives within us, we are to yield ourselves to Him and His work. When we yield ourselves to the Spirit, then we won't be trying to force the Spirit because the flow will be natural. The Holy Spirit works through us but with our cooperation because the Spirit will not force us to do anything. The presence of the Holy Spirit is already with us. All we have to do is give control to Him. He is waiting for us to let go so He can work in and through us by using the gifts He has given each of us that we might continue doing the will of our Father.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are the God of Holiness. You expect holiness. Thank You for sending Your Comforter, Your Holy Spirit, to dwell within me that I might be led and guided in all Your ways. I ask that You continue working in my life and shaping me for Your glory. Teach me and help me to learn to yield and submit myself daily to You so that Your Spirit would produce in me what is pleasing to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
