Bullseye!

Recently, I had two conversations, with two different people. It was about missing the mark, missing out on GOD’s will.
This morning, I read a status the Chairman of my International Board of Advisory at TOH posted. It was about August being the month of impact. He said, “This month you will make all round impact that will make you stand out from the crowd!” I love that, don’t you? Powerful statement.
As I wrote a comment on his status, I could hear GOD’s Spirit saying so many things to me. We are arrows in HIS hands. HIS plans and purposes for our lives are to hit the target all the time. It’s to live successfully and be on target in all we do. It’s to make an impact always. That’s GOD’s plan for us.
So, then, why do we miss the target at times? That was the topic of my discussion just two days ago. In my conversation with the two people, we discussed missing the target! I was on fire about this conversation, and then, I called the second person.
I told him, “Listen up, I believe, and it’s very clear now, you missed GOD’s will the first time. Now, HE is giving you a second chance. I can’t even believe it myself. You can’t screw this up. I’m not going to let you. I’m going to hound you like a dog, and I’m not going to stand by and watch you miss it again.” I think I shocked the guy, but it’s ok, he will survive it. He’s getting a text message today reminding him and a phone call on Friday. He knows I’m not letting up. I’m not going away until he does what I asked him to do because I know this will be a huge blessing to him.
For several days, I have been thinking about this. We can miss the mark. GOD will not make us do anything we don’t want to do. HE has a plan for our lives, but we must want HIS will and we must do it HIS way. GOD doesn’t hold a gun to our head to make us do anything. We have a free will, and we choose whatever we want to do. When we choose what we want, we get into trouble. Worse, we miss the target. We miss out on HIS best. Please don’t believe the lie. GOD will give you better. If you choose to not receive HIS best, you are not going to receive better than HIS best. Guaranteed, you will not.
Ever shoot arrows? For the fun of it, I would shoot with my eyes closed. I know, pretty dumb. I did it on purpose, I was trying to still hit my mark. I missed it every time. Catch this please. We do the same with our blessings. We know exactly what the will of GOD is but we close our eyes to it. We pretend it’s not there in front of us. We ignore it, and mistreat the blessings. We play with it at times, all the while with our eyes closed to WHAT is clearly staring in our faces.
REFLECTION: "Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing," (1 Corinthians 9:24-26). GOD’s will for our lives is all we should want. And when HE shows it to us, we must fight for it with all we got. We must aim to win, and No, not with our eyes closed, shooting in the dark. We come out of darkness, step into HIS light of truth, and we have only eyes for the target. Are you hearing me? Fear must be checked out at the door, and we aim our arrow with precision and we watch it hit bullseye.
David hurled a stone at Goliath from his sling shot and hit him smack in the center of his forehead, bringing Goliath down, and bringing victory to the Israelites. Fearless, David knew the will of GOD, he wasn’t like the rest. He stood out amongst the rest, he stepped right up. He made a huge impact for his generation and all of us that came after him, and all of those who will come after us, his story is for eternity.
What can we learn from David? You must know the will of GOD. Let it be clear to you. Once you know. Declare it. David knew. He declared GOD’s victory before it happened. He determined he was going to fight for it. He had a plan of action, the stones. He wasn’t afraid of this giant, he faced his giant. He didn’t wait to be attacked, he took that stone and hurled it. He took the first step. He went down in history as the greatest warrior. He impacted his entire generation. GOD said of him, “David is a man after mine own heart!” I want GOD to say that about me. Don’t you?
God’s will is worth fighting for. I just outlined above what David did to hit his mark and make the impact. I believe GOD wants to bless us, too, and use us to impact those around us. You must know HIS will and then act on it. Setting your eyes on hitting it. You must be precise in your actions. Getting rid of the distractions. Standing strong in front of your giants, fearless in spirit, with a winners attitude. This is what must happen in order for you to hit the bullseye.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are my Way Maker. You have ordained my steps and they are ordered by You. Thank You for empowering me and that I do not have the spirit of fear, but of love and of power and of a sound mind. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You and Your Ways, Your righteousness, and all that is eternal. Lead me to the destination You have in store for me. Fill me with strength, and give me the grace to endure. Your plans are meant for my good, and I am surrendering myself to Your purpose and Your ways. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
