Man Pleaser or God Pleaser?

Man for Generations has been in competition with God for who man himself will serve as master and the age old question arises once again man pleaser or God pleaser. The Bible says, in John 12:43 (GW), "They were more concerned about what people thought of them than about what God thought of them."

The opinion of man will fail for it is not God, but what God says will hold truth and will never fail. Man for generations has been failing God and bringing shame to the One who made him into being. Now we have man to serve in everyday life such in the workplace or places of worship. But remember this when man fails, disappoints and forsakes you, take heed that the Lord your God will never fail, disappoint or forsake you.

REFLECTION: Are you truly living your life to please God or to please man? Are you taking God seriously at His word or are you living your life the way you want doing your will instead of God's will? Are you seeking God's approval or man's approval? "Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant," (Galatians 1:10 GW). Seeking God and His righteousness is of utmost importance and should never be taken lightly. One day you will stand before God to give an account of your life -every idle word and every deed- to Him. In that moment, it will be just you answering to God.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Your word is the only word that truly matters. Without You, I have no life. Without You, I wouldn't be able to take my next breath because You, O God, are the Giver of Life. Lord, I'm sorry for not taking You as seriously as I should and I'm sorry for the times cared more the opinions of man more than Your truth. Forgive me for failing You and wash me clean. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
