I know I have to share this because someone needs to hear this so I'm sharing this testimony again. Here it is...
We were celebrating Ellianna’s birthday at Animal Kingdom, her favorite place. The day was all about her as that's how we planned it. We began as usual spending time with God. After the hair, nails, make up, clothes shopping, etc. We went to Animal Kingdom to have dinner at the Rain Forrest Caffe. Ellianna is my second miracle baby.
I pulled into the parking lot at Animal Kingdom. My kids said, "Look at this car parked next to us it has all the windows open.” What? How could they forget to close the windows, I said? I stepped out of the car and couldn't help to see a man sitting at the driver side. I thought it was odd because it was so hot. How could he be in such hot, melting, and extremely humid weather, and just sit there? And to top it off, at a famous park like Animal Kingdom? Why would someone just be sitting in their car, was my thought?
Then my eyes fell on the open book he had sitting on top of the steering wheel. His head was bowed, as he was reading, not bothered by the heat. I couldn't help myself, really I couldn't. It's like my mouth just opened, and my tongue started speaking! I asked him, "Sir, excuse my intrusion but are you reading a Bible?" I just had to knowing in my heart what he was reading was for me. He quickly looked up, with the biggest smile, and said, "Yes, I am!" I knew God was trying to tell me something. I just knew it was a specific passage of an answer to prayer I have been praying for. So, I asked him what passage he was reading and had known already in my heart what he was going to say.
He quickly picked up his Bible, with that same huge smile, leaned over to the passenger side, showing me what he was reading. He said, "My Bible is in Portuguese, I'm reading about the birth of John the Baptist, Luke chapter 1!" I smiled, laughed, and thought "God I can't believe you just planted a man, with a Bible, next to me, at a parking lot, in the heat of the day, who barely speaks English, has Portuguese Bible, giving me exactly the Bible verse you have been telling me about for 3 years now. God, you just blow my little mind." I almost started crying because of the length God goes to get my attention.
"I can read the Portuguese language since its so close to Italian," I said, and he placed that big huge, black covered Bible in front of my eyes, still with a huge and amazing smile on his face. His eyes were on me, as he held his Bible in his hands, leading over holding it up for me to read for myself. “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord."
Ellianna was a promise to me by God. He told me, I would have a daughter, and her name was to be called Ellianna Destinee. How appropriate that God would place a stranger to remind me as we were celebrating the birthday of my promised, beautiful, amazing daughter. God was clearly, without a doubt, reminding me what He has done in the past, He will do in the future. All His promises made to me shall come to pass. I just have to believe what He said!
Today, I remind you (us) again. What word has He given to you? What promise are you waiting for Him to fulfill? God is saying to you, "Blessed is s/he who believes what the Lord said to you will come to fulfillment!"
I'm in total awe of God! He spoke and continues to speak to me just as I’m about to give up. This specific passage is one of two He has given me as my life verses. I knew God was encouraging me to keep going and continue to believe Him no matter what I see, hear, feel, or think. We serve the miraculous God who doesn't do anything without purpose and wonder, the God who leaves His hand prints for us to clearly understand that it was no coincidence, or accident me parking at that spot, at that place, and at that specific time. God orchestrated all the way. Lead me, God, and I will follow.
Let this be your declaration today, too!
