It IS Finished!

"With a loud voice He cried out, "It is finished," bowed His head, and gave up his Spirit!"
Amazing love! Death was conquered, sin atoned, sicknesses were healed, prisoners set free, and eternal life was given to those who believe. The reason for that is Good Friday.
What was so good you ask? We owed a debt we could not pay. He paid a debt He did not owe. Perhaps today there are sins you have committed and you don't know how God could possibly forgive you. My Friend, you and I cannot buy our way to heaven. Good works alone will not save you or me, only the repentance of our sins because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross are we saved.
Not only did He die for our sins but for our sicknesses too. Do you need a healing in your body? Jesus bore our sicknesses on the cross! It was bought for and paid for with His precious and perfect blood. His blood washed away our sins and healed all our diseases.
You are healed because He died!
You are forgiven because he died
You are reconciled, restored, set free, and can boldly enter the Holy of Holies because of what Jesus did on Good Friday. A big great stamp of redeemed, forgiven, and healed stands next to your name in the book of life if you have asked Jesus Christ to be forgiven.
Death, sins, and sickness were swallowed up because of Jesus Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords! What love, compassion, and forgiveness all wrapped into one death, that of a perfect lamb. The life of God’s own Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
Go forth with a thankful heart, filled with gratitude, honor, and love for a God that loves us that much. Choose to forgive, love, and show compassion to others because of what happened on the old rugged cross.
I am not ashamed of the old rugged cross, and all that it represents. Thank our Lord Jesus Christ for such amazing love that would save a wretch like you and me!
Thank You, Jesus, for loving me!
