“He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.” -Job 33:15
I can’t help to think about this passage as I write this regarding the dream I last night. I’m not going to share my dream, the dream really doesn’t matter. Rather, God spoke to me by showing me in my dream what would happen if he brought His promise now.
Sometimes God says, “Not now,” to something that you are waiting on for Him to fulfill in your life. Don’t complain about it! This is not easy to do. If you are like me, you understand even though you know God is going to fulfill what He has promised you still complain about how long it's taking.
Well guess what? Sometimes there is a required time before God can grant you what you have been praying for. In my dream, I got what I wanted but I did not like it. I didn't like it because it was out of order, and I knew it in my dream. It made me feel horrible, and I woke up feeling badly.
You see my dream was not something bad. However, it was out of God's order. I got what I wanted before God's timing, and it left me feeling unblessed, and wishing I didn't get it. I think the dream was more like a nightmare!
God clearly has shown me I am going to get this prayer answered, but it is not going to happen my way, and in my time. He reminded me in my dream, It will happen in His time. Then, I felt Him say, “and stop all your complaining in this waiting!” Oh the length God goes to show us His will for our lives. It was crystal clear to me in my dream before He brings to pass this promise, I have to fulfill all the purposes God has preordained for me to accomplish. Before this prayer get's answered, there are things He is expecting me to get do and get done.
God clearly helped me see in my dream that I have the choice to obey God and wait for His timing, or disobeying and missing out on His best of gifts. Well, you know it! I will always obey God no matter what He asks me to do. Disobedience is not an option for me.
In this wait God is making me become a better person. He’s helping me to create and make great everlasting memories. There are goals and plans filled with great purposes I have to achieve first. I must remain steadfast to all his purposes for my life. In addition, I must exhibit the right attitude and the right spirit. I’m not to sit around waiting for that particular promise to come to pass rather I’m to be filled with joy and get busy doing what He has placed before my hands to do. In other words live my life to the fullest.
I felt in this dream God saying, “There is more to you and your life than sitting around waiting for something that I promised you to come to pass. I’m going to fulfill all my promises in your life in my time table. My timing is the best. Don’t sit around waiting. Get up and go do what I have created you to do.”
What a dream to whip me back into shape. It was so very vivid, and very enlightening. God, in my dream, was very clear as to what He wanted me to know. God doesn’t leave us guessing. He’s precise and very clear.
I felt compelled to share my dream with you. I believe this speaks to so many of us. Sometimes we get caught up in the gift He’s about to give us that we totally miss out on all the extra blessings He has for us in the wait. So much time and energy is lost when we focus on the gift and complaining it’s not here yet when God wants us to live our lives and trust in Him and His perfect timing, while accomplishing all He has for us in the wait, receiving all the many gifts in the wait.
Yes, “God speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.” Allow God to speak to you His truths in whatever way He chooses to do it.

INSIGHT: God always makes His truth known, and God will use whatever He chooses to speak to you. God knows you, and He knows what He has to use in order to get your attention. He knows what your dreams are, and if God has promised you something, He will bring it forth in HIS timing, not yours, and you can be honest with God and let Him know what you are thinking and feeling. God is great; He is big, and He can handle knowing how you feel, what you think, and can handle your impatience while waiting for Him to fulfill your dream or desire He has promised you. Be open and transparent before God. He's listening. The question you must ask though is, "Am I staying quiet long enough to hear God speak?"
MEDITATE: "Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come." -Jeremiah 33:3
Waiting on God is not easy when you have a desire so deep in your heart you can't escape that desire. However, it is in waiting on God that He speaks to you. He will tell you things you don't know yet as shown to us in Jeremiah 33:3. God hasn't changed so He still talks to His children today. Has He spoken truth to you that you are trying to ignore? Or are you despising His timing in fulfilling your desire or dream? Remember when waiting on God, having faith in Him also includes having faith in His perfect timing.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are My Jehovah Nissi, My Covering, and Your banner over me is love. You are The God Who Has Gone Before Me, and You are the God Who Surrounds Me. Forgive me for the so many times I have been impatient. Your timing is perfect, and if I am to trust You, then I must trust Your timing as well. Lord, I want only Your best for me. Thank You for hearing me. I trust in You, O God, and I lay down all my dreams and desires before You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
