GO CREATE YOUR DREAMS

Last night we were headed for Epcot to see Boyz To Men. I was driving and praying for one of my closest friends. In my spirit, I knew my prayer time with her wasn’t over. I arrived at Epcot, I needed to end my conversation so I thought except God had other plans.

We are at Epcot a lot... Several times a week. Last night the parking lot was full. Cars were at a stand still. I knew God was changing my plans because He wasn’t done ministering to my friend. I changed direction to Magic Kingdom, happily allowing me the extra time to really devote time to my beautiful sister.

I reminded her God knew her before she was even born. There was a destiny for her life. She has purposes to fulfill, a call on her life. The battle is never in our heart. The battle is always in the mind. The mind is our biggest enemy. Its the enemy’s playground. The defeat happens in the mind. Our dreams are aborted there.

At the Magic Kingdom last night, during their fireworks display, the encouraging words were, “Go and create your dreams!”

Allow me to say, “God dreams bigger then Mr. Disney!” It was God that gave him life and gave him the mind to create. He used it wisely and brought to us the beautiful fairytales we all love. I’m sure you have noted every single fairytale has a tragedy before there’s a happy ending.

Each story deals with death, and someone is trying to stop the princess to fulfilling her destiny. In the end, evil is defeated, and everyone lives happily ever after. I can’t help to think about the following verse.

“Before I formed you in the womb

I knew you, before you were born

I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet

to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:8

God knew you and me before we were even in the womb. He already dreamed the dreams for our lives. He has already placed and deposited in us dreams for us to fulfill. He is waiting for us to step up and create that life He gave us.

In each fairytale, the person made the best of each situation. They didn’t give up. They didn’t become bitter. In fact, those princesses showed love and kindness towards everyone. Mister Disney didn’t just portray them as physically beautiful. They showcased kindness and love to everyone they encountered. They didn’t give up, complain, become angry at their fate, hate life, and blame others for the situation they were in. Total opposite.

Can we learn from them?

I have learned quite a bit reading these fairytales to my children. Hopefully, I have instilled in them to learn to be happy in every situation they find themselves in -to take the anger and frustration, especially the negative and destructive behaviors that are often exhibited during hardships, to take the horrible things in life and allow God to use them as springboards, supernaturally launching them into heights no other has gone before. That’s my constant reminder to them, you, and me.

We don’t give up on our dreams because we think they haven’t come to pass yet. Therefore, we walk away. It’s at this very place you fight the hardest. Seriously, is there anyone out there that just walked into greatness without working for it?

I want to bring your attention to one word in this passage. It’s the word, “I.” That “I” represents God. That “I” has a message for you. That message? Super simple. One word: APPOINTED!

“I APPOINTED YOU!” The Great I Am appointed you big time. He goes on to say, “To the NATIONS.” When God dreams and you catch that vision He has, you realize He means business, big business. He dreams big, and our brain can’t even imagine it. I bet even Mr. Disney would be in total shock.

Tell me God hasn’t dreamed big for you. This doesn’t mean you sit and do nothing. This means you get up, step up, and live out your dreams. They don’t come easy and free of trials. You keep going and fly high above the circumstances and you trust him in the testing. Your testimony is a product of your testing. Remember this always.

My Wonderful Friends, the set backs, the disappointments, the failures, and the whatevers are simply there as a reminder that they fall powerless when we trust Hm.

Go create the dreams God placed in your life to fulfill.

Only you can achieve them.
