Sometimes in life, you come to a crossroad. Going right or left is your only choice. The truth is only one path is the best, the will of God, and the other disastrous, the will of man. Just like a road, there are people behind you beeping, yelling, and screaming for you to hurry up, to go right or left. So is the same with choices we make. The voices of people or your own voice tries to make you choose quickly, hurry up, asking what’s taking so long. Listen, God says, “My word is a lamp unto your path!” This means when your read up, prayed up, and listening up, you will be led by God Himself. This means when you’re read up, prayed up, and listening up, you will be led by God himself. Folks, sometimes the light is a delayed red. As impatient you might be and with all those beeps you get, the law says stop and wait. If you run the red light, there are consequences to pay. Your excuse “They were beeping. I had to run the light,” isn’t going to stand up in a court of law. REFLECTION: King David said it best, “Wait with hope for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait with hope for the Lord,” (Psalm 27:14) No one said doing the will of God would be easy! There is something you must do in the wait. Be courageous. Be strong. Have faith. Wait patiently in hope! He who has promised is reliable, able, truthful, and enduringly faithful! He’s going to help you get to where you’re supposed to be. I find God often takes us the long way around. It’s when God takes us the long way around that we learn about his character. He is reliable, trustworthy, and loving. The road is hard for sure, but He will take us to where we are meant to be- His way, no shortcuts. The new year is approaching and the future might be uncertain, but I promise you He who began a good work in you will accomplish it. You will have defining moments for you. Don’t rush through. Don’t make choices people are pushing you to make. Be strong and courageous. Stand strong in hope and faith. God cannot fail you IF you’re seeking His will and His way!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You renew my strength when I wait on you. Give me the wisdom to choose wisely, and open my ears to hear only Your voice so that I might hear Your truth. Thank You for being with me this far in my journey with You, and I am trusting in You as I continue walking with You. Teach me Your truth. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
