You are Holy!

"...it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."
(1 Peter 1:16)
God says, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." "Shall" is a command, My Friends, and yes, it's hard to do on our own; but God is the One who sanctifies us, not us! You and I can never achieve holiness by following a list of do's and don'ts. We become holy by desiring to do the will of God because we understand he sanctifies us. We belong to God.
MEDITATION: "Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the LORD God of Heaven's Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed." (Amos 5:14) Our destiny is heaven bound; therefore, we live a life obeying God in ALL we do! God says, "I carried you on eagles wings." How then can we remove ourselves by doing evil in His sight? He has given us the power to live a life of holiness. Choices we make determine if we are heaven bound or hell bound. Don't be deceived, My Friends. Remember God says, " You SHALL be holy, for I am holy!"

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are the Potter and I am the Clay. Help me to always remember that I am merely like the flowers quickly fading, and help me to remember You are the One who literally holds me together. Keep my feet from slipping, and keep me from evil. You are the One who sets the standard of morality. When You say something is evil, it is evil, and when You say something is good, then it is good. Father, may my spirit always submit to Your ways and Your discipline, and may I always bow my heart before You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
