Keep Clinging to God

Each of us goes through times of testing, and sometimes those times of testing seem to come out of nowhere. In those times, our character is sharpened and refined, and we may find ourselves close to the edge, ready to give up, ready to raise the flag of surrender, and go our own way. God has heard your cries. He has not forgotten you. Cling to Him. Hold on to His Truth. Stand on His promises. Don’t give up. Remember you are already made victorious, and He is the peace that surpasses all understanding. Lean on Him. Trust Him.
HE SHOULDERS ALL YOUR WORRIES & CARES.
“Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.” –1 Peter 5:7
YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN NOR FORSAKEN.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before me.” -Isaiah 49:15-16 “He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.'” -Hebrews 13:5
YOU ARE CHOSEN, A ROYAL PRIEST, A HOLY NATION.
“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” -1 Peter 2:9 God will deliver you out of your troubles and give you boldness as you continue trusting in Him… for He is Who He says He is, and He will do what He says He will do.
INSIGHT: All of God's children go through times where they are being refined. That means trials, problems, and temptations; but that doesn't mean those things define you. What defines you, in those moments, is how you handle each one that comes your way and will you continue in unwavering loyalty to God? Will you give in and let the trials and problems and temptations define you, OR will you let God define you? God has already defined you. You don't have to carry your worries because your God is big enough to shoulder all that concerns you.
MEDITATE: "These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." -1 Peter 1:7
God does allow trials and troubles to refine His children because God cares about your character, NOT your comfort. Walking with God doesn't mean you are exempt from problems. Just the opposite. Through everything you face, your faith will grow and so will your trust in God. Rely on Him alone to get you through whatever it is you are dealing with because He is the One Who will carry you through to the other side.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for being the One who carries me in times of trouble. You, O Lord, are good, and when trouble comes, You are a Strong Refuge; and You know everyone who trusts in You. Thank You for being my Shelter, for being the Cleft In The Rock where I can rest in the time of storm. Thank You for continuing to carry me and holding me in Your hands. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
