Fear Robs Us From the Blessings of Christ

"And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders." -Mark 5:17
A great miracle and deliverance had happened, a man who had been demonized and terrorizing the town was set free; But instead of giving glory to God and turning to the Lord, the town missed a chance for great blessings. They allowed human fear to control them and would not receive the anointing and compassion of Jesus. Finis Dake said this about the passage, "They asked Jesus to leave their country and He did, never to return God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit will not impose on anyone or stay where they are not wanted. Unless they turn to God later, these very people will regret this action many times in eternity. Think of it! The Savior of the world being turned down by the very people He came to save!"
MEDITATION: "Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever," (Hebrews 13:8). Today many people are the same way. They view the miraculous and supernatural with fear or suspicion because of the evil of Satan’s kingdom. Through television or movies or some science fiction novel, they are fearful of anything supernatural. However, Jesus is still doing the same compassionate miracles today through His body, the church. He will move supernaturally to bless you; but it will always be in love and compassion. Open your heart to all He wants to do in your life, and you will not miss any blessing He has for you.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Unchanging God in this chaotic world. You, O God, from cover to cover in Your Word show Your faithfulness and unfailing love. You promise restoration and hope and healing for those who come to You and call on Your name for salvation. Father, You still perform miracles and bless Your children. Your compassion never fails. Thank You, God, for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for demonstrating Your power in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
