ONLY JESUS

"Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’" -Matthew 7:21-23
One does NOT inherit Christianity, and one cannot get into Heaven riding on someone else's coattails. There's a choice that must be made. The book of John tells us TO ALL WHO BELIEVED AND ACCEPTED HIM, to them, He gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12). As children of God, we are called to live righteous and holy lives, not to live as the world does. We're in this world, but we're NOT of this world because this world is a temporary home, a place we're only traveling through; and we're chosen to bear fruit, walking the walk, not just making claims but actually living the life. We must keep in mind our faith needs to be backed up by actions, walking in obedience to God who has chosen us to be His own. It is not enough to make claims. If we love God, we'll obey Him. We're called to bear good fruit such as helping our fellow man/woman, encouraging one another, following the examples Christ has given us.
MEDITATION: "And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21 NLT) "Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 BSB) For the believer in Christ, we are to never compromise the Truth of God's Word. His Word is clear. Jesus was the Perfect Unblemished Lamb of God sent to Calvary where He laid down His life for all. Christ conquered death, hell, and the grave, having risen victoriously on the third day. There is no other means of salvation available. Jesus IS THE ONLY way. Those who reject Jesus have rejected the only means of salvation because "Jesus answered, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" Even if someone says, "NO," to Christ, "NO" is still a choice; they have chosen to reject. As children of God, since we believe Jesus is the only means of salvation, we are NEVER to water down the Gospel to make people feel comfortable in their sin. We are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, that there is forgiveness found in no other. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me into Your family. Thank You for choosing me to bear fruit. Thank You for Christ and His Sacrifice at Calvary, that He conquered death, hell, and the grave. Father, let me never compromise the Truth of Your Word that clearly states Jesus is the provision for sin and the Only Way to You, that there is no other name by which man can be saved, and that to as many who believe and accept Him, You have given them the right to be called children of God. Help me, Lord, to never bring shame to the name I claim to bear. Thank You, Lord, for Your Living Word, and thank You for being the God of Salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
